Ozone water treatment and oxygen water treatment are an essential part of the wastewater system.  Force main oxygen treatment, coupled with oxygen ozone water treatment at the pump station can effectively keep at system odor free, without the use of chemical. This can reduce cost, labor, and risk to human health.

In August 2001, The FDA officially published the approval of Ozone water treatment use in the food industry.  As one of the most powerful oxidants, it is capable of inactivating a wide variety of pathogens with short contact times.  It is used for such things as water treatment, sanitizing, CIPs, odor control, municipal sewer water treatment, and wash water.  It has proven extremely effective in post-harvest disinfection and in wastewater facilities for both disinfection and commercial odor control.  This “ green “  disinfection agent has 1.5x the power of Chlorine and 3000x the power of hypochlorous acid.

One of the ongoing problems of the fracking industry is water treatment.   Finding alternate sources of water and water reuse are an important part of most fracking operations.  Ozone water treatment plays a big role in this market.  Replacing biocides and descaling agents with ozone allows for process water reuse and leads to a reduction of water usage and waste. Ozone in water treatment, when added to “sour water” can reduce the Hydrogen Sulfide, bacteria, viruses, and other odors making this water easier to work with through wastewater odor control.

Ozone water treatment is approved for use as a disinfection agent in pharmaceutical water systems.  It is most commonly used for disinfection, sanitations, and odor control system wastewater.  As a powerful oxidizer, it works quickly and effectively to destroy bacteria, viruses and other pathogens and odor causing compounds.
